Idaho Falls Celebrates...

City-wide Cleanup Week set for May

City-wide Cleanup Week will take place May 5-12. The annual event is a chance for city residents to get rid of unwanted items conveniently and safely.

Common household products such as paint, cleaners, batteries and pesticides all contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable or reactive ingredients – all potentially hazardous – that require special care when thrown away.

In Idaho Falls and Bonneville County, you can take it to the Bonneville County Transfer Station, 2455 Hemmert Ave., on the second Saturday of each month from May 12 until September, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

City-wide Cleanup Week is also a chance to get rid of big household items. To arrange a pick-up, please call Electrical Dispatch at 612-8439. The city Sanitation Department will also have dumpsters set up across town, along with recycle bins and dumpsters for cardboard drop-off. An insert in your April utility bill lists the locations.
