But the concept has been confused with Certification, Ratings and specialized products and methods only a few can afford. Do third party ratings and testing actually add value to the housing experience? What choices do owners and builders have?

This program will discuss the objectives of his philosophy and explore alternative and affordable ways to deliver the end result to buyers.

Managing Risk is the final step to profitability and accruing wealth in the business of construction.

 

From Fortuitous Risk to the impact of Consequential Damages, Builder Businessmen need to understand how to uncover, and protect themselves from loss exposure.

 

This program will discuss different types of risk and ways to manage it over time.

Code Training - IDABO Education Institute

 

Attention: Contractors, Inspectors, Fire Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Contractors, Mechanical HVAC Contractors, Roofing Contractors, Architects, Designers, Others.

 

Regarding the much anticipated 5 day IDABO Education Institute offered in Idaho Falls late January early February 2012 at the Shilo Inn which includes 19 different classes, Trade shows, New Products, Networking, etc.

 

The four free classes available to attendees are:  

 

  1. Simpson Strong-Tie Connections Workshop: Monday, January 30, 2012-1: pm to 5: pm
  2. Low Slope Roofing:  Tuesday, January 31, 2012……..8:30 am to Noon
  3. Plan Submittal Process: Wednesday, February 1, 2012…..8:30 am to Noon
  4. Energy Code for Contractors: Wednesday, February 1, 2012…1:00 pm to 4:30

 

For Licensed Idaho Falls Building Contractors, the cost of all other classes will be based on IDABO “MEMBER” cost (see Payment section of attached registration form). The City of Idaho Falls Building Department will offer CEU’s toward Building Contractor License Renewal for the 2012 Year. 

 

Licensed Idaho Falls Building Contractors are required to obtain eight hours of CEU’s for their annual renewal. They may attend only 8 hours total at no cost, so you could attend two ½ day classes of the four ½ day classes ( listed above) offered for free, other classes beyond 8 hours would be based on the above “MEMBER” cost on the registration form sent to you yesterday.

 

Lunch will be available on the days you are attending at an extra cost to the attendee.
