Idaho Mountain Trading

The lighting upgrade at Idaho Mountain Trading of Idaho Falls saves 24,723 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year with a simple conversion of the existing lighting fixtures. In this case, 167 fixtures were converted from T12 lamps with magnetic ballasts to T8 lamps with electronic ballasts. Lighting levels increased while wattage was reduced 46 percent. The retrofit saves Idaho Mountain Trading $1,844 annually with a three year payback after rebate.

Dillard's

The lighting upgrade saves Dillard's of Idaho Falls 484,581 kilowatt-hours of electricity per year. In this case, 1,978 fixtures were converted from T12 lamps with magnetic ballasts to T8 lamps with electronic ballasts. Light levels increased by 5 percent while wattage was reduced 50 percent.

Energy Savings Assessments

Customers can receive free energy audits conducted by qualified utility personnel, engineering firms or third-party contrators to identify measures that will reduce electric energy consumption such as lighting, HVAC, motors and controls.

Grocery Store Refrigeration/
Energy Smart

Area grocers can receive free energy audits and incentives toward the installation of energy efficient measures identified during the audit.  Although primarily focused on refrigeration systems, lighting and HVAC measures are also available.  All grocers have been contacted directly, and follow-up visits are conducted by the Regional program administrator’s field personnel.

Green Motor Rewind Program

This program is offered through local motor service centers to provide energy efficient rewinds of motors brought in for repair from commercial, agricultural, and industrial customers .  Incentives are based upon the size (hp) of the motor.
