Heat Pump ProgramIdaho Falls Power offers a zero interest loan or rebate to qualifying customers who install energy efficient heat pumps in new or existing buildings. MEASURESWe can install either Air-to-air or ground source (geothermal) heat pumps. REQUIREMENTS
FUNDING LEVELThe program will loan up to 100% of the actual cost of installing heat pumps for qualifying customers not to exceed $7,500.00 (some restrictions apply). OR REBATES
LOAN QUALIFICATIONOnly available to customers with a good payment history with City Utilities (i.e. no outstanding current balance, no disconnects for nonpayment, no delinquencies). Must have minimum of one year payment history with utility. Must have building owner's signed permission to participate. LOAN TERMSNo interest; up to 60 months to repay; $25.00 administration charge; $500.00 minimum loan amount; $7,500.00 maximum loan amount. If applicant moves, ownership changes, or nonpayment occurs for three months any remaining balance will be immediately due and payable with interest to accrue on such defaulted unpaid principal balance at the rate of 12% per annum. Should the account become delinquent, it will be subject to disconnection of electric service. PROCEDURES

FUNDING LEVELThe program will loan up to 100% of the actual cost of installing heat pumps for qualifying customers not to exceed $5,000.00 (some restrictions apply); OR customers participating in the program will receive a $1,350 rebate toward the cost of the system. LOAN TERMSNo interest; up to 60 months to repay; $25.00 administration charge; $500.00 minimum loan amount; $5,000.00 maximum loan amount. If applicant moves, ownership changes, or nonpayment occurs for three months any remaining balance will be immediately due and payable with interest to accrue on such defaulted unpaid principal balance at the rate of 12% per annum. Simple steps, smart savings IFP participates with other utilities in the region to “buy-down” the cost of CFL bulbs from the manufacturer, so the customer realizes lower costs in the retail stores. The bulbs are available at most regional chain stores, and may be promoted by individual stores under branding such as “Savings With A Twist” or “Change-A-Light, Change the World.” Weatherization Idaho Falls Power will conduct a free home energy audit for any IFP customer. Appliances Rebates or zero interest loans to qualifying customers to purchase and install efficient electric appliances. Financing/Zero Interest Loans Available to customers with a good payment history with City utilities and services New Home Programs Homeowners can enjoy a 20% reduction in energy use compared to traditional building techniques. Manufactured Home Programs An $850 incentive is available. |
