Loan Qualification & TermsLoans for utility approved, energy efficiency measures are only available to customers with a good payment history with City of Idaho Falls utilities (i.e. no outstanding current balances, no disconnects for non-payment, no delinquencies). Customer must have minimum of one year payment history with the City of Idaho Falls. Terms: zero interest: up to 60 months to repay; $25.00 administration charge; $100.00 minimum loan amount; $2,000.00 per qualifying appliance; or a total of all loans combined of $5,000.00. Maximum loan amount(s): $7,500 for heat pumps; $5,000 for weatherization, and $2,000 for appliances. If applicant moves outside of Idaho Falls service area, ownership changes, or non-payment occurs for three months any remaining balance will be immediately due and payable with interest to accrue on such defaulted unpaid principal balance at the rate of 12% per annum. Should the account become delinquent, it will be subject to disconnection of electric services.
Simple steps, smart savings IFP participates with other utilities in the region to “buy-down” the cost of CFL bulbs from the manufacturer, so the customer realizes lower costs in the retail stores. The bulbs are available at most regional chain stores, and may be promoted by individual stores under branding such as “Savings With A Twist” or “Change-A-Light, Change the World.” Weatherization Idaho Falls Power will conduct a free home energy audit for any IFP customer. Heating & Cooling Rebates or zero interest loans to qualifying customers to install efficient heat pumps in new or existing buildings. Appliances Rebates or zero interest loans to qualifying customers to purchase and install efficient electric appliances. New Home Programs Homeowners can enjoy a 20% reduction in energy use compared to traditional building techniques. Manufactured Home Programs An $850 incentive is available. |
