75th Anniversary of Tautphaus Park August 21, 2010 (10:00am - 7:00pm)
All day: .75 cent admission to Zoo 1:00pm - 4:00pm .75 cents admission to Aquatic Center 10:00am: a dedication of bronze bust/tree planting in honor of Mr. Tautphaus by the horse barn. Noon to 5:00pm: kids games, music, & historical museum located in the Tautphaus horse barn 10:00am - 7:00pm - Car show (see flyer here)
SOUTH TOURIST PATHWAY PROJECT COMPLETE! Another .4 miles of greenbelt pathway has been opened. The new section of pathway runs from South Tourist Park to Sunnyside Road. Proceeds in the amount of $65,000 from the Idaho Falls Rotary Duck Race were used to fund the project.
NEW PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT AT LILAC CIRCLE New playground equipment was recently installed at Lilac Circle in Tautphaus Park.
PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE AT TAUTPHAUS PARK The new pedestrian bridge over the Tautphaus Park canal is now open to the public.
CEMETERY CLEAN UP INFO HERETAUTPHAUS PARK MULTI-PURPOSE & ICE RINK LOBBY REBUILD
Construction of a new lobby area for the building will begin the end of March and continue until October. The construction area will be fenced and posted for the public’s safety. The parking lot between the zoo and the ice rink will remain open to public. There will be a loss of around 10 parking spaces during the construction. Parks and Recreation would encourage the public to make use the parking lots by the ball fields and skate park in addition to the rink parking lot.
