The parks department is responsible for a myriad of city services. The Department’s operational activities are separated into Parks Maintenance, Horticulture and Urban Forestry, Weed and Environmental Control, Irrigation Management and Cemeteries.
The staff works together to provide high quality, safe and well maintained parks, trails, athletic facilities, pavilions and shelters, cemeteries, public restrooms and numerous other recreational facilities. The Department also provides special event assistance, snow removal, the City-wide banner program, ice arena maintenance, the holiday lighting program, as well as maintenance of all memorials, flowerbeds and city turf grass.
John Hole's Floating Bridge on the Greenbelt is closed for the Season.
