Tautphaus Park

Located off South Blvd near Sunnyside Rd.

Tautphaus Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Idaho Falls. It houses the Tautphaus Park Zoo and Funland Amusement Park, as well as six ball diamonds, four shelters, tennis courts, basketball court, skateboard park, horseshoe pits, and lots of playground equipment.

Funland Amusement Park is privately owned, but you can contact them at 208-525-9814 or 208-221-8724. Also see their website. They are open 7 days a week June through August and weekends only in April, May, & September.

Shelter #1

Shelter #1 is located on Picnic Way. It has 20 tables. Seats 120 people, if you put 6 persons to a table. Has electrical outlets, fire place and water access. It also has playground equipment and a basketball court and volleyball sand pit. It is across the street from the rest rooms. It rents for $53.00 (including tax) per day. Book on-line here

Shelter #2

Shelter #2 is located on Sunken Diamond Drive and has 15 tables and seats 90 people. Has electrical outlets and water access. It has a brand new playground that is great for all kids including the disabled. The shelter also has it's own parking lot. It is close to Funland Amusement Park. The bathrooms are next to Funland (which is across the street from this shelter). We no longer rent this shelter.

Shelter #3

Shelter #3 is located on Fountain View Drive and faces the grassy area near the big fountain. Tennis courts are behind it across the street. It has 10 tables and seats 60 people. It has electrical outlets and water access. It has playground equipment nearby. Bathrooms are located to the north of this shelter near Lilac Circle. It rents for $53.00 (including tax) per day. Multi-Purpose Shelter

The multi-purpose shelter is located on Carnival Way next to the zoo. This facility has 80 tables and can seat up to 480. This building has it's own bathrooms.

Shelter 1, & 3 rent for $50.00 per day plus tax. The multi-purpose shelter rents for $200.00 plus tax and a $100.00 refundable deposit. .

We also rent volleyball equipment for $10.00. If you want running water at your shelter, you can pick up a water spigot during business hours at the Recreation Center as long as you leave a $25.00 deposit until it is returned.

Lilac Circle

Lilac circle has no shelter but the area can be rented for $50.00 per day plus tax. It has water access, 15 picnic tables, and playground equipment. It is right next to restrooms. Book on-line here
