Knothole Baseball Knothole Baseball is a fun and positive approach to instructional baseball. By tailoring the rules and equipment, children are better allowed to learn and be successful playing the game. Different leagues are offered to try to include all ages. Play will be weekdays from 8am - 4pm. Games will be held twice a week for a 12 game schedule. Knothole baseball is co-ed until 3rd grade. From then, girls can play Bobbie-sox softball. See below.
Parents! Form your own teams with your child's friends and classmates. If you cannot form a team of your own, call the Recreation Center and your child can be placed on a pickup list. Note: If your child is placed on a pickup list, we cannot gaurantee that they will be picked up by another team. Call the Recreation Center at 612-8480 with questions.
Leagues Offered: Kindergarten (t-ball) 1st/2nd grade combined (t-ball) 1st grade (pitching machine with safety ball) 2nd grade (pitching machine with safety ball) 3rd/4th grade combined (pitching machine with baseball)
Season Begins: June 7, 2010 Register your team by: May 19th, 2010 Fee: $39.00 (includes t-shirt)

Bobbie-Sox Softball Designed for young girls, Bobbie-Sox is a fun and exciting way to learn to play softball. Rules and equipment are modified for different age groups to better teach their fundamental skills. Play will be held weekdays from 8am to 4pm. Games are held twice a week, for a 12 game schedule.
