2010 Tennis Program

 

JUNIOR TENNIS PROGRAM

 

This summer we are offering several sessions for beginner, intermediate and advanced junior tennis players.  Classes meet four days a week with each session lasting two weeks.  Check the list of sessions below for the one that best suits your player.

 

Our program is based on guidelines established by the United States Tennis Association and involves Quick Start methodology.  We will have well trained instructors to ensure that your player will learn to feel at home on the tennis courts as they learn new skills appropriate to their age and skill level.  Classes will incorporate drills, games, and match play to help improve skills learned. 

 

Sign up for junior tennis lessons at the Recreation Center, 520 Memorial Dr. or over the phone with a Visa or Master Card at 612-8480.  Please specify the session, time, location, age, and skill level.

FREE "Summer Kick Off Tennis Camp"

 

The Post Register and Key Bank in cooperation with the City of Idaho Falls Parks & Recreation Department and Apple Athletic Club are sponsoring a FREE "Summer Kick Off Tennis Camp".  This camp is geared for beginners and intermediate players.  It will be held on June 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).  There will be two sessions each day 3:30 - 4:40 and 4:45 - 5:45.  Registration forms are available May 17th through May 28th in the Post Register newspaper, at the City of Idaho Falls Recreation Center 520 Memorial Dr., or at the Apple Tennis Facility, 1710 E 16th St.  Registration forms need to be received by May 28th by drop off or mail to the Recreation Center, 520 Memorial Dr. 83402.  You may choose one of the following sites to attend the FREE Tennis Camp.  Kids will be placed at their choice of site on a first come first serve basis.  If the site is full, kids may be reassigned to another location.
