The Idaho Falls Police Department will be hosting session #38 of the Citizen Police Academy. The Idaho Falls Police Citizen Police Academy is a community oriented policing program designed for citizens in and around our community. It is conducted twice a year to accomplish three goals:

1. To allow the citizens to meet the men and women who serve.
2. To educate the citizens on the how's and why's concerning law enforcement.
3. To work with the citizens in solving problems and sharing ideas to help make Idaho Falls a better place to live.

This free 6-week class gives residents an inside look into the interworking of law enforcement as they learn about DUI and traffic enforcement, crime scene investigations, K-9s, building searches, patrol tactics, the SWAT team and the bomb team.

Most importantly class participants will have the opportunity to meet police officers and hear first-hand about what it is like to work and serve with the IFPD.
