 Citizens Watch Patrol

The Citizens Watch Patrol (CWP) is a unit within the Idaho Falls Citizen Police Alumni Association and has been serving the community since the fall of 2001. CWP is a name used to describe a special group of law enforcement  volunteers. The CWP Program is a highly structured volunteer program for interested citizens who volunteer their time as a non-sworn member of the Idaho Falls Police Department.

Citizen Patrol Groups have been in use in the United States for over 20 years. The number of citizen patrol volunteers within the United States is estimated to be more than 75,000 with groups in every state in the nation. The IFPD CWP has provided scheduled patrols and support services to police officers since 2001. Click hereto see what we do, or view our Facebook page to discover what our Citizens Watch Patrol is all about.
