Water Facility Plan

Completed by Murray, Smith & Associates, in collaboration with the city, the Water Facility Plan conducts a top-to-bottom analysis of the city’s water system. The plan provides key water system information, evaluations and recommendations that will help guide decision-making for city leadership and staff regarding the growth and sustainability of the water system.

The plan includes:

  • A description of the existing water system;
  • City’s population growth and future water demand projections;
  • Evaluations of the city’s water system supply, distribution, condition of existing facilities and operation and maintenance programs;
  • A capital improvement program that recommends projects; and
  • Cost estimates for recommended projects with associated financial plans and funding strategies.
