Description
Is it legal to shoot a pellet gun or BB gun in the city limits? I have a neighbor that is shooting at the fence (property line between us) and the pellets are coming through the fence. This individual is also shooting at any birds or squirrels that come anywhere near the fence.
Notes
Idaho Falls City Ordinance 5-14-11 says: "Any person who discharges a firearm within the City shall be guilty of a misdemeanor", and, "for the purposes of this section, the term "firearm" shall mean any instrument used to propel shot, shells, bullets or other harmful projectiles by action of exploding gunpowder or other explosive material, compressed gas, springs, elastic material or any other similar device". The ordinance clearly includes BB or Pellet guns.
