I have been sitting at the picnic tables that are put out in the park. I have been hit once and narrowly missed twice by the discs. This weekend we rented shelter #1 and were using the large tree to the east of the shelter for a pinata. A man, not once, but twice threw a disc into our group. He got belligerent because my daughter threw the discs away from the children. If that disc had hit one of the children, it could have seriously hit them. Please either educate the disc players that they need to respect others right to the park, or more clearly define the areas of the park. I am worried that someone is going to get seriously hurt. Notes Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. The Parks and Recreation Division Director and Parks Department Superintendent will discuss potential etiquette signage for the disc golf course. 08/23/10 Return to Citizen Request Search |
