Idaho Falls no longer has “Alarm Permits”, an individual or business may install an alarm without contacting the city or Police department. Idaho Falls has adopted a new city code in which an individual or business may be fined for “False Alarms” after which a “Public Nuisance Permit” will be issued thru the City Clerk’s office. Fines start on the third false alarm within a calendar year. Please see Idaho Falls City Code Section 4 Chapter 22.
