Question: If I am questioned by a Police Officer after being stopped on the street, do I have to answer his questions?
Answer:

You should always give your name, address and phone number and any information about your identity, but you are not required to answer anything else. Often, a few polite answers may end the matter. When Officers stop you, they are usually investigating suspicious activity or a complaint and will get you on your way quickly.
