The majority of the electricity to light Idaho Falls comes from the Bonneville Power Administration’s Federal Columbia River Hydropower System.  BPA also has one nuclear generation station in their fleet and some wind energy.  Idaho Falls also maintains four hydropower plants in Idaho Falls but those plants are capable of providing less than 30% of the Idaho Falls electrical demand.
