You can submit a “Job Interest” form at the Idaho Falls Personnel office located at 375 D Street Idaho Falls Idaho, or Call 612-8248. The Personnel office will notify you by mail (late April or May) when applications are to be submitted and when the test date is scheduled. Police Officer applicants will be subject to a civil service written exam. After successfully completing the written exam, 25-30 applicants will be scheduled for the Physical Fitness Test battery (P.F.T.B). For those that qualify, an oral interview with the Civil Service Commission will be scheduled. A Civil Service list will be established based upon your scores from the written test, P.F.T.B, and oral interview.  The applicant must also pass a background check, a polygraph exam, a physiological test, and the medial exam.
