Police Investigate Burglary

Idaho Falls Police are investigating the theft of $14,000 in power tools and cash and checks from Rocknaks Hardware on West Broadway.

The burglary occurred sometime between late Saturday night and Sunday morning.

According to reports, police responded to the business, located at 2250 W. Broadway, around noon Sunday after an employee reported the break-in.  The employee came to the business and found that someone had broken a front window with a rock and entered the building.

The unknown suspect rifled through an office and a stole a safe that had thousands of dollars in cash and checks inside. The burglar also stole thousands of dollars in power tools.

Man Arrested for Possession of Meth

Idaho Falls Police arrested a 20-year-old man Saturday morning for possession of methamphetamine.

Police made contact with the male around 5 a.m. on the 1300 block of Hoopes Avenue after they noticed he was riding a bicycle without a headlight. During this contact, the officer had probable cause to search the man.

He was found in possession of methamphetamine.



I.F. Man Arrested for Aggravated Battery 

Idaho Falls Police arrested Roscoe Edward Beare Sunday morning for aggravated battery with the use of a deadly weapon.

According to a report, Beare, 24, deliberately rammed his car into another person’s pick-up truck in the Walmart parking lot on Sept. 16.

Beare was arrested on a warrant Sunday morning.



Police Make Domestic Battery Arrest

Idaho Falls Police arrested Aaron P. Barrett Sunday morning for felony domestic battery.

According to the victim, Barrett, 31, struck her several times and put a knife to her throat during an argument at the residence.

Barrett was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.



Vandals Strike Multiple Locations

Idaho Falls Police are looking for vandals that caused hundreds of dollars in damage to property with orange spray paint.

Police responded to multiple locations Sunday morning for reported vandalism to vehicles, a boat and a building.

Officers responded to the 800 block of East 11th Street for vandalism to a boat and a car, the 700 block of Seventh Street for vandalism to a car, the 700 block of Linden for vandalism to a truck and the 200 block of Castlerock for vandalism to an LDS Church and two cargo trailers.

The damage is estimated in the thousands of dollars.

The Idaho Falls Police Department arrested 41 people this past weekend.
