Idaho Falls Celebrates...

New online services at Parks and Recreation Department

The city’s Parks and Recreation Department has made it easier to reserve a shelter or register for programs, classes and activities. The department’s online registration and information pages can be accessed by clicking here. The updated site provides a wealth of information, from availability of shelters to updates about ice skating or swimming lessons, seasonal sports leagues and activities, Boy Scouts classes, swim teams and more. You can look up coaches’ information, schedules and scores, too. In addition, the Parks and Recreation Department’s website allows city residents to sign up for mobile announcements from the Parks and Recreation Department, so you don’t miss registration deadlines for sport leagues and other activities.

Latest addition to the library: e-books and e-audio books

The Idaho Falls Public Library is now capable of loaning out e-books and e-audio books. Thousands of titles are available for download – from classic literature to a variety of non-fiction works - and the list continues to grow. Click here to access this service. Online check-out is fairly simple, but if you have trouble downloading the book you want, assistance is available through an online tutorial, or by calling (208-612-8460) or emailing the library.
