Emergency alerts are sent from AlertSense, which is the same system used by Idaho Falls/Bonneville County Dispatch. Go to the bottom of this page to subscribe to emergency alerts.
Routine or time-sensitive notifications that are not emergency in nature, such as snow removal parking restrictions, leaf collection, and road construction are sent from a system called Civic Ready. The system has the ability to send you a voice message, email, and/or text message.
IMPORTANT: The system limits the number of characters we can send in a text message. However, a link to additional information will be included in that text alert. Simply click on the link for details. If your cell phone does not have access to the internet, make sure and select the option to receive a voice message as well as a text message. The voice message will contain more information.
To subscribe, scroll down to the green Sign Up button below.
The NEW CivicReady tool is used to send notifications that are not emergent in nature but that are time sensitive. Subscribers can register to receive notifications via phone call, text message, and/or email. (This is the best way to get notified about snow removal parking restrictions.)
