The City of Idaho Falls has expanded our communication tools, giving residents more options to stay informed. Residents can now select the type of information they want and the method in which to receive it.
Emergency public safety alerts are sent from AlertSense, which is the same system used by Idaho Falls/Bonneville County Dispatch. (If you've already signed up to receive emergency alerts using this system, you do not have to sign up again.)
Routine or time-sensitive notifications that pertain to City of Idaho Falls residents only, such as snow removal parking restrictions, are sent using the new Civic Ready tool (text, phone & email) system and Notify Me (email only). See details below.
For those residents who signed up for Snow Removal Parking Restrictions using our former texting system, you do not have to sign up again. Your information was moved over to the new Civic Ready text alert system.
Time Sensitive Notifications (Snow Removal Text)
The NEW CivicReady tool is used to send notifications that are not emergent in nature but that are time sensitive. Subscribers can register to receive notifications via phone call, text message, and/or email. (This is the best way to get notified about snow removal parking restrictions.)
