Badging
Security badges are required at the Idaho Falls Regional Airport for individuals needing access to restricted areas in regulation with TSA and CFR 49, part 1542 regulatory requirements. Badges are only issued after applicants undergo background checks and attend an in-person badge class.
Processing an application may take up to three weeks, with TSA background processing.
The badge office is open Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm, to submit a new badge application.
Badge Application Forms
Badge application forms can be picked up in the administrative office or downloaded here. Completed applications can be dropped off at the administrative office, located on the departure side of the airport. You must bring the approved identifications described on page 2 of the badge application to be processed.
If you are born abroad, additional forms of identification may be requested per TSA.
Badge Classes
Badge classes are offered every Tuesday. You can not attend the badge class until you clear the TSA background check and receive notification from the airport.
SIDA classes are held at 1:15 p.m. AOA/General Aviation classes are held at 3:00 p.m., and Sterile classes are held at 4:00 p.m.
If you are late for class, you will need to attend on a different class date.
