City Rate Discount

Citizens of Idaho Falls, through payment of their property taxes, contribute directly to the operation of Idaho Falls Parks and Recreation facilities, programs, and services. A city-rate status allows city residents to receive reduced rates of services. Residents not registered as city residents, as well as out-of-city residents, will be assessed the full fee for all programs and services.

How to Receive the City Rate Discount
A city-rate discount can be obtained at the Recreation Center, Wes Deist Aquatic Center, and the golf courses. You must bring proof of residency in the form of a utility bill from the City of Idaho Falls (no other proof of residency is accepted), as well as a valid photo I.D. with a matching name and address, to one of these facilities.

Who is an Idaho Falls Resident?
Idaho Falls residents live within the city limits. The boundaries used by the U.S. Post Office and those that actually determine the city limits are not the same. Having an Idaho Falls address does not necessarily mean that you are a city resident. Owning a property or business within Idaho Falls city limits does not automatically qualify one as an Idaho Falls resident.

Proof of Residency
This is your utility bill from the City of Idaho Falls (top and bottom portion) or an email receipt of that same utility bill, as well as a photo I.D. that has a matching name and address with the bill.
