Airport Director's Corner
It is my pleasure to welcome you to IFlyIDA.com, thank you for visiting. Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA) is an air transportation center for Eastern Idaho, Southern Montana, and Western Wyoming travelers and serves as an access point to some of America's favorite tourist destinations including Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Sun Valley, Idaho. Our terminal building is easy to navigate, parking is just a few steps away from check-in and we never have long TSA lines. Airport amenities include free wi-fi, electronic charging stations, a restaurant, a smoke-free lounge, gift shop and concession stand.
IDA is an economic driver within the Southeast Idaho community and contributes to the economic well-being of the city. We are proud to operate as a financially self-sustaining entity. IDA operates within an Enterprise Fund Budget that is not dependent upon City of Idaho Falls general tax funds. Our mission is to provide first-class airport services and remain competitive in today's air service environment. The airport accomplishes this by maintaining the highest levels of safety and security; systematically improving infrastructure; implementing effective marketing and air service development strategies; supporting our general aviation community; improving the customer experience by staying up to date with emerging technologies; and balancing the roles of operating the airport as a public service and business enterprise.
As the IDA Airport Director, I am continually working towards maintaining our existing air service, as well as pursuing new viable and sustaining routes. Currently, the airport is served by Delta Airlines with daily nonstop flights to Salt Lake City, Utah and seasonal service to Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota; United Airlines with daily nonstop flights to Denver, Colorado; and Allegiant with weekly flights to Las Vegas, Nevada, and Phoenix/Mesa, Arizona and seasonal flights to Los Angeles and Oakland, California. IDA also supports the general aviation community by maintaining a safe and friendly operating environment through reasonable rules and regulations as well as by preserving minimum standards for commercial aeronautical service providers.
I encourage you to explore the site and review IDA's various offerings and amenities as well as our five year capital improvement program and air service development white papers as they provide valuable insight into the airport's current efforts. I sincerely hope your future travels include a stop at IDA.
