The Idaho Falls Police Department, thanks to the partnership with Idaho Falls School District 91, has dedicated 2 officers to work solely in the area schools. Resource officers work directly with the school district to ensure the safety and security of each school within the district. Officers investigate criminal activity within the school and do security at the school's extracurricular activities.

The officers split themselves among all the schools but dedicate a majority of their time to the junior and senior high schools.
