Public Announcement: The City of Idaho Falls is applying for funding through the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation’s Recreational Trails Program. These funds will be used to develop trails and pathways throughout Heritage Park.
South Tourist & Ryder Park are CLOSED to vehicle traffic and camping at noon on July 3rd, vehicles will be immediately towed. CLOSED July 4th to vehicle traffic and camping. OPEN again on July 5th.
The parks department is responsible for a myriad of city services. The department's operational activities are separated into Parks Maintenance, Horticulture and Urban Forestry, Weed and Environmental Control, Irrigation Management and Cemeteries.
The Department provides special event assistance, snow removal, the City-wide banner program, ice arena maintenance, the holiday lighting program, as well as maintenance of all memorials, flowerbeds and city turf grass.
