[ARCHIVED] W Broadway Sidewalk Improvement Project

Broadway Sidewalk Improvements Graphic

Idaho Falls, ID – On May 9 crews will begin working on the W Broadway Sidewalk Improvement project, from Memorial Drive to N Yellowstone Avenue.  The anticipated project duration is 45 days.

The project includes the replacement of curb, gutter and sidewalks. The existing planter boxes will be replaced with new above-ground flower planters. The older, root bound trees will be removed and replaced with healthier trees. The project also calls for decorative pavers and new lighting.

All road lanes will remain open for most of the project. One lane of traffic in one direction on W Broadway may be closed during non-peak traffic times to facilitate construction. Park Avenue from “A” Street south of the railroad may also be closed during non-peak traffic times.

Pedestrian access may be restricted to accommodate sidewalk reconstruction. Only one side (north or south) of W Broadway will be restricted at any given time.     W Broadway Sidewalk

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate the community’s patience as we continue to replace aging infrastructure and make improvements to downtown.

For questions or concerns about this project please contact the City of Idaho Falls Public Works Department at (208) 612-8450.

Residents are encouraged to follow the city's new interactive construction project web page. A link to the page can be found on the city’s homepage at www.idahofallsidaho.gov or by clicking HERE
