Knife River Corporation, under contract to the City of Idaho Falls, will be replacing the structure that carries 17th Street over the Moody Canal immediately east of St. Clair Road. To facilitate the construction, full nighttime closures of 17th Street between St. Clair Road and Woodruff Avenue will take place each night beginning on Tuesday, March 14.

Up to one lane of traffic on 17th Street in each direction will close at approximately 7:00 p.m., followed by full closure of the roadway at 11:00 p.m.
The roadway will re-open to traffic each morning by 5:00 a.m., with single-lane closures extending into the mid-morning hours as necessary.
Traffic on 17th Street between St. Clair Road and Woodruff Avenue will be detoured north to 12th Street during the nighttime full closures.
Barring unforeseen conditions, the project should be completed by the end of the week.
Please watch for equipment and workers, follow all traffic signs and flaggers, and reduce speeds to posted limits.
