HK Contractors will install flashing stop signs at two separate locations in Idaho Falls beginning on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
The first phase of the project will include replacing the existing stop signs at the side street approaches to Lomax Street at N. Fanning Avenue, N. Wabash Avenue and N. Freeman Avenue. Once the work is complete on Lomax Street, the contractor will relocate to "F" Street for the second phase, which will include identical improvements at the side street approaches to "F" Street at Shoup Avenue, Park Avenue and Capital Avenue.
The project also includes the removal of curb and gutter and installation of new ADA pedestrian ramps at the various intersection corners of both Lomax Street and "F" Street.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane at various times for the duration of the project.
The total duration for completion of both areas is approximately two weeks.
During all construction activities, watch for equipment and workers, follow all traffic signs and flaggers, and reduce speeds to posted limits.
