Intermountain Slurry Seal, Inc. has been contracted by the Idaho Transportation Department to perform pavement preservation to various city streets. Motorists are asked to plan alternate routes.
The project begins Wednesday, July 15 with an anticipated completion time of Tuesday, July 28 with work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. daily.
The work will take place on Sunnyside Road, 25th East, 12th Street, 10th Street, 9th Street, 5th Street, Snake River Parkway and Anderson Street.
Pavement preservation consists of pavement marking removal and micro-surfacing overlay to provide a skid resistant surface to protect the existing asphalt.
During construction, some streets will be closed for a portion of the day. Other streets will have lane restrictions in each direction. Side roads at the intersections within the work zones will experience traffic delays.
Please reduce speeds, obey posted traffic control signage, and watch for construction crews throughout the work zone.
