Legislation that will benefit Idaho Falls and the entire state Idaho, championed by United States Congressman Mike Simpson, was signed into law yesterday by President Donald Trump
“The Great American Outdoors act is very meaningful for our community. We appreciate our outdoor spaces, and look forward to full participation in future LWCF projects. I am also very aware that many in our community realize significant economic benefits when National Parks succeed. Restaurateurs, hoteliers, guides and outfitters all depend to some extent on the robust tourism that comes from healthy parks,” said Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper. “Idaho Falls has also been a great beneficiary of the funds this legislation protects. We’ve been able to provide playground equipment, drainage projects, park improvements and many other recreational amenities for our community. We are grateful to Congressman Simpson for his strong, behind-the-scenes work on this piece of legislation and his appreciation for Idaho’s outdoor environment and the economy that supports it.”.
