The Idaho Falls Fire Department is excited to announce the opening of downtown Fire Station #1 and invites the public to the Grand Opening ceremony on Monday, May 1 at 1:00 p.m. at 343 “E” Street, Idaho Falls.

The Skyline High School Jazz Combo will welcome guests to the ceremony, followed by the Idaho Falls Fire Department (IFFD) Color Guard and Pipes and Drums. Singing the National Anthem will be Savannah and Presley Stallings, daughters of IFFD Driver Nick Stallings.

Representatives from the City of Idaho Falls and Idaho Falls Fire Department will provide remarks. Elected officials will then join the Greater Idaho Falls Chamber of Commerce for the traditional uncoupling of the fire hose and opening of the bay doors – signifying the official opening of the station. 

Station tours will be from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Light refreshments from local downtown eateries will be provided.
