The Idaho Falls Police Department is seeking the assistance to identify the individual(s) who vandalized Rose Hill Cemetery over the weekend.
The vandalism occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 7, at the Rose Hill Cemetery, located at 2355 Rollandet St., in Idaho Falls. Cemetery staff noticed and reported the damage when they arrived for work on Monday, May 8.
Vandals damaged approximately 80 headstones, totaling thousands of dollars. A few headstones were also reported as missing. The oldest headstone damaged was from 1894.

The cemetery is owned by the City of Idaho Falls and maintained by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Arrangements are also underway to start a fund to assist in replacing headstones.
