[ARCHIVED] You’ll scream for all the sweet June events at the Idaho Falls Zoo!

June has some really emus-ing events planned for everyone at Idaho Falls Zoo! Your zoo is open daily for the 2022 season, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including holidays.

June 10: Sippin’ Safari- Join us for one of our newer fundraising events, Sippin’ Safari! From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on June 10, enjoy an evening strolling the zoo and listening to live music with your family. Enjoy a live musical performance by “Gas Station Sushi.” Food, beer and wine are available for separate purchase. All ages are welcome! All-you-can drink soda is included courtesy of Teton Toyota. Admission is $10 for the public ages 3 and up, $5 for zoo members ages 3 and up, and children 2 and under can enjoy the zoo for free! Tickets can be purchased online before the event at https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/tpzs-2022-events-50999  As a fundraiser, zoo memberships aren’t valid for entry.  

June 15: Watercolor in the Wild- Each month throughout the season, artist Twyla Mahelona with Mahelona Studio will guide a small group of participants to create beautiful watercolor pieces featuring the animals at the Idaho Falls Zoo. For the June series, we will be painting penguins! Food and drink are available for purchase on grounds. Tickets include admission to the zoo, so come early or hang out late to enjoy the wildlife! June 18 through 19: Father’s Weekend at the Zoo- Celebrate the amazing men in our lives and in our zoo family! We invite all the men to enjoy admission to the zoo for only $0.50 with a paid child admission on Saturday, June 18, and Sunday, June 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Be sure to see our newest zoo dad, Chad the cotton-top tamarin.

June 18: Chillin’ at the Zoo with Reed’s Dairy- Celebrate dad while you scream for ice cream at the zoo! On Saturday, June 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., enjoy all-you-can-eat ice cream at this family-friendly zoo fundraiser hosted by Tautphaus Park Zoological Society and Reed’s Dairy! Cost of the event is $7 per person plus zoo admission. TPZS memberships are valid for zoo admission but not on ice cream tickets, which must be purchased separately. June 24: Hawaiian Luau and Mama Mango Madness- Come and enjoy a festive Luau at the zoo on Friday, June 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. This is a family-friendly event featuring soda, water, and adults can enjoy fruity alcoholic drinks and live entertainment by the Noa Polynesia Hula dancers and Taiko Drummers! Drinks are included with your ticket. Come and enjoy an evening of fun, food & drinks as you explore the zoo and all the surroundings. This will be the highlight of your summer. Daily: Meet a Zookeeper- Each day at select times, you’ll meet our amazing animal care staff as they tell you all about our wonderful zoo animal family. Visit https://www.idahofallsidaho.gov/1400/11425/Meet-a-Zookeeper for the daily schedule.

It’s always a great day at the zoo! Daily admission is a steal of a deal at only $8 for adults (ages 13-61), $6.50 for seniors (62+), $5.00 for children (ages 3-12), and $0.50 for ages 2 and under.
