Knife River has started construction on the intersection of Sunnyside Road and Crestwood Lane/Channing Way in Idaho Falls. The anticipated completion time is the end of September. 

The project consists of widening the southern part of the intersection and adding a lane to improve safety and signal operations. 

Multiple lane closures and traffic configurations are required to complete the work, including: 

• One lane closed on the eastbound leg of Sunnyside Road starting the week of July 25. 
• The intersection of Sunnyside Road and Crestwood Lane/Channing Way will be closed for 18 hours on a Sunday when traffic is typically less. Knife River will send another notice when the date for the closure is determined. 
• A detour will be provided per the Traffic Control Plan. 

Every effort will be made to accommodate access to properties, although some activities will temporarily block access due to the nature of the work. Motorists should plan alternate routes in advance and follow the provided signage/detours. 

Please help us keep motorists, pedestrians and construction workers safe by reducing speeds in construction zones.
