Missing 5-year-old Boy

Update (10:48 a.m.):  Tucker Mertz has been found and is safe. We appreciate the community’s assistance. 

Original Release: The Idaho Falls Police Department needs the community’s help in locating a 5-year-old boy that went missing from the family’s home today, May 30, 2017.

The parents noticed their son, Tucker Mertz, was missing earlier this morning from their home on the 1000 block of 10^th Street in Idaho Falls. The call came into dispatch at 8:44 a.m. and a Code Red alert has gone out.

Tucker is a Caucasian male, approximately 4 ft. tall, 80 lb., and of small stature. He has brown eyes and brown hair that covers his ears. It is unknown what he may have been wearing when he went missing. Tucker has a speech impediment and may have difficulty communicating.
