On November 10, 2023, the Idaho Falls Police Department received information from the Teton County Sheriff’s Office that a large quantity of drugs was being brought into the area in a white Toyota Camry by a Jesus Zazuete Beltran.
On the same date, officers from the IFPD and Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office located the Toyota Camry and watched it arrive at an address on Sage Avenue in Idaho Falls. A blue BMW pulled up next to the white Camry for a short time and then left the area. Officers noticed that the BMW had an obstructed plate, and they initiated a traffic stop on the BMW.
Officers then requested that a police K-9 respond to the area of the traffic stop. The K-9, trained and certified in narcotics detection, conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and indicated the presence of an illegal substance in the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and found approximately 465 grams (about 1 pound) of methamphetamine.
Officers returned to the house on Sage Avenue with a search warrant and conducted a search. An additional approximate 4,091 grams (about 9 pounds), and various items of drug paraphernalia associated with drug use and sales, were located inside of the home.
During the investigation, the following persons were arrested by the Idaho Falls Police Department:
Jorge Venegas from Idaho Falls, Idaho and Jaime Bonilla Morales from Dubois, Idaho were both arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine.
Jesus Zazuete Beltran from Victor, Idaho was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine, providing false information to a police officer, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ana Costillo-Delgado from Idaho Falls, Idaho was arrested for trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
Brian Garcia-Rodriguez from Blackfoot, Idaho was arrested for possession of paraphernalia and for frequenting a place where controlled substances are used.
Juan Aguilar Duque from Idaho Falls, Idaho was arrested for possession of paraphernalia.
The Idaho Falls Police Department thanks their partners in law enforcement, the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office and the Teton County Sheriff’s Office, for their assistance in this investigation.
