Community members are invited to join us for an event honoring each of the 403 first responders who lost their lives on 9/11.
The 4th Annual 9/11 Fallen Heroes Memorial Tribute 5K/10K Run and 1 Mile walk will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017. The race will start and end at Snake River Landing, 901 Pier View Drive, Idaho Falls.
This family-friendly event features raffle prizes and several activities for kids, including a children’s firefighter challenge course and a smoke trailer simulation. Local firemen will demonstrate firefighting equipment, ladder trucks and MORE! Several local law enforcement agencies, as well as the Life Flight crew and helicopter will also be at the event. Entertainment will be provided by some local favorites – the Idaho Falls Pipes and Drums and the Madison County Pipe Brigade.
Participants can register online or at the event. Late registration begins at 7:00 a.m., with presentations and activities at 8:30 a.m. The race start at 9:00 a.m., rain or shine.
A special memorial walk begins at 9:15 a.m. Tribute name tags will be handed out. The walk will continue until all 403 fallen heroes have been represented by walking one mile for each name.
The race, sponsored by Paul Davis Restoration of Idaho, through Paul Davis Cares, recognizes and benefits the Idaho Fallen Firefighter Foundation, the Eastern Idaho F.O.O.L.S. (Fraternal Order of Leatherheads Society), the Idaho Falls & Bonneville County Fraternal Order of Police and the Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center.
Paul Davis Cares, Inc. is the non-profit philanthropic arm of Paul Davis Restoration. Donations are tax deductible, and 100 percent of the event proceeds go to the organizations listed.

The Idaho Fallen Firefighter Foundation is a non-profit organization that recognizes lives lost in the line of duty of career and volunteer firefighters in the state of Idaho. They provide support to the families of firefighters who are injured or who have died in the line of duty. They offer a variety of programs to support the health and safety of firefighters statewide.
The Eastern Idaho F.O.O.L.S.(Fraternal Order of Leatherheads Society) are firemen who believe in providing fire training for firefighters. Whether they are paid or volunteer firefighters, they are all fighting the same fires. They are about preserving the tradition and heritage of the fire service.
The Bonneville County & Idaho Falls Fraternal Order of Police and Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Center stand for the cause of rebuilding the lives of families and children impacted by domestic violence or sexual assault. They build the law-enforcement family support and project fund of both the Bonneville County and Idaho Falls Fraternal Orders of Police. Their focus is on prevention and training.
