Boo at the Zoo, one of Idaho Falls Zoo’s largest fundraisers is set for October 26, 27, and 28. Hosted by the Tautphaus Park Zoological Society, Boo at the Zoo showcases a huge array of lights and lighted displays, dozens of decorations, nightly costume contests at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., crafts, games and trick-or-treat stations hosted by area businesses and organizations.
“Boo at the Zoo is Idaho Falls’ must-see, family-friendly Halloween event,” says David Pennock, zoo superintendent. “Guests will have a unique experience, including over a half-million lights and custom-designed Halloween displays surrounded by the amazing fall atmosphere of the zoo.”
This year’s displays will include many favorites, as well as featured Superheroes vs. Villains-based games in the Children’s Zoo. The zoo is thrilled to welcome back Timberline Garrison and their special photo backdrop. Guests can pose with costumed Star Wars characters on Friday evening. Timberline Garrison is a local chapter of the 501st Legion, a worldwide Star Wars costuming organization comprised of and operated by Star Wars fans.
