Idaho Falls Police arrested 40-year Matthew Blatter for aggravated assault following an altercation with a 24-year-old man Monday evening.

Blatter of Idaho Falls was also booked into the Bonneville County Jail for misdemeanor battery and driving without privileges.

According to reports, officers responded to the 2300 block of Stace Street in reference to a disturbance around 5:24 p.m. Upon arrival officers contacted Blatter and the victim. The victim stated that Blatter showed up at the residence and refused to leave when asked by the resident owner.

An argument between Blatter and the 24-year-old victim ensued. Blatter struck the victim with his hand. He then tried to strike the victim with his vehicle.
