[ARCHIVED] City unveils series of economic development videos inspired by community members

Downtown Idaho FallsIdaho Falls, ID – “Idaho Falls is a city of leaders. We lead the way when it comes to innovation. We lead the way when it comes to civic involvement. We lead the way when it comes to all the things that make a community special,” stated Idaho Falls Mayor Rebecca Casper in a series of new economic development videos that were unveiled this afternoon.  

City of Idaho Falls Economic Development Coordinator, Dana Briggs, showed a series of eight videos at the City CoArt Museum, Idaho Fallsuncil meeting earlier this afternoon. The videos highlight the Idaho Falls community to those looking to relocate to Idaho Falls.  

“The video format is one where business leaders and residents tell the story of Idaho Falls in their own words,” states Briggs. “This video tour project is an exciting new asset the City of Idaho Falls and community organizations can use moving forward. As an economic development tool, the videos offer interested investors, corporations, and individuals a professional and comprehensive look at our community.”

For each video, key industry sectors provide an in depth tour of our community. Idaho Falls’ key sectors include education; healthcare; development; federal contracting; business success; real estate; and culture, recreation and entertainment.

In the introductory video, Michelle Holt, workforce community education manager, College of Eastern Idaho states, “The Idaho National Laboratory and other businesses related bring in such a caliber of people, jobs and positions. You wouldn’t think you would find those types of jobs, opportunities and businesses in a community of this size.”

Thirty individuals participated in the production of the eight engaging and informative videos. “We thank all the participants for their willingness to support this project. We couldn’t be more proud to introduce anVisitor, Idaho Fallsd share their stories with the community, prospective business owners, and potential residents looking to call Idaho Falls their home,” says Briggs.

The videos are available to view and share on the homepage of the city’s website.
