[ARCHIVED] House Fire on N Freeman Avenue

House Fire on N Freeman Avenue

On July 25, 2018 at 7:20 p.m. the Idaho Falls Fire Department was dispatched to the 600 block of N Freeman Avenue for a report of a structure fire.

Upon arrival firefighters found smoke coming from the eaves of a single family home. On entry, the fire appeared to be confined to the kitchen. Firefighters extinguished the fire quickly and kept it from extending to the rest of the home or other homes in the area.  A knock down and overhaul were completed, as well as a primary search of the residence. No civilians or firefighters were injured in the fire.

Two engines, two ambulances, a battalion chief and a public information officer responded to the fire. Idaho Falls Power responded to turn off utilities to the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.  The estimated damage is unknown at this time.
