Idaho Falls Police arrested 58-year-old Martin L. Knowles for aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm after causing an incident at the Roadhouse Saloon.

Knowles of Idaho Falls was also arrested for carrying a concealed weapon while under the influence and criminal trespass. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, officers responded to the Roadhouse Saloon, 1680 N. Lindsay Blvd., around 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night for a fight in progress. Officers arrived and made contact with Knowles who was laying on the ground near the front door.

Witnesses stated Knowles had been in the bar when he was asked to leave because he was causing an argument with another patron. Knowles left, but returned a little less than an hour later with a rifle and pointing it everyone in the bar.

Some of the patrons confronted Knowles and took the rifle away from him.

Knowles was also found in possession of a handgun.
