Idaho Falls Police arrested 32-year-old Adam L. Kennedy for robbery after he threatened and stole cash from a 27-year-old Idaho Falls man late Wednesday night.

Kennedy of Boise was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.

According to reports, officers responded to the Peppertree Lounge, 888 N. Holmes Ave., around 11:49 p.m. for a report of a robbery. The victim reported that Kennedy threatened him outside the Peppertree Lounge with what appeared to be a handgun and ordered him to hand over all his money.

The victim complied and Kennedy from the area with the victim’s cash. The victim went into the bar and yelled he’d been robbed. A bar employee called police and patrons excited the bar and chased Kennedy and tackled him on Whittier Street. They detained him until officers arrived.

Kennedy was found in possession of the victim’s cash and a portion of an airsoft rifle.

Kennedy was a walk away from the Bonneville County Jail Work Release.
