Rodeo Grounds

Subfacility of Sandy Downs

Sandy Downs Grandstands/Arena is $700 per day plus tax to rent and $500 cleaning deposit with $100 being non-refundable. There will be a $300 additional charge for set up and take down for rodeos. Deposits can be held on a credit card number.

  • Admission fee per spectator (paid by event holder): $1
  • Parking Fee per vehicle: $1
  • Tractor with operator daily: $200
  • Water Truck with operator daily: $200

Other Costs

The 4H Arena is $100 per day with a $100 cleaning deposit. Extra Dumpsters cost $83 each. Fees are due before the event can take place.


A $100,00000 Liability event insurance certificate showing the City of Idaho Falls as an additional insured will be required from applicants proposing events that pose a risk of public injury or private/park property damage. Fees for security, parking control, park staff or extraordinary cost imposed on the Parks and Recreation Department for your event will be addressed with the approval for your park permit. 

If there will be alcohol served or sold at any event, you must obtain an additional liquor liability certificate of insurance in the amount of $100,000 Insurance certificates must be turned in 48 hours prior to the scheduled event or Parks and Recreation reserves the rights to cancel this agreement.

Horseback riding annual use permit: $20
Horse walker monthly fee: $20
Stalls: daily $10 or monthly $45
